I've always had a dream of going to Africa, and it's always been very interesting to me. Not only the animals, but the people — especially their culture. ... I feel so at home and at peace here. There's no televisions, there's no computers; we can't get Internet service — we're definitely in the bush of Africa, in tents. The children of Africa are beautiful kids. I've been so blessed to be able to get to know them... I talk to the kids and tell them that they can really do anything that they want to do."

"I was able to do some humanitarian work. It makes you feel so good and also makes you have an understanding of life and what you have... I think that there's just a different way of life for kids in America. They have so much, whether they see it on TV, or they're given nice clothing. Here, they don't have a lot, so they really appreciate what they have, and it makes me think a lot about how much I'm blessed with my life... I would encourage a lot of people to go out themselves to do things. There's an importance of charity, but there's also an importance of hands-on work you can do yourself." -- Joe Jonas, talking about his recent trip to Africa

When he's not touring with the other Jonai, filming a TV show for the Disney Channel, shooting guest spots for Hot in Cleveland or promoting Disney's Friends for Change, Joe Jonas likes to use what little down time he has to do even more to give back. Last month, he took a long journey to Africa — watch the exclusive video he made about his trip on Cambio.com, a site the Jonas brothers and their father founded (no, they do not appear to sleep), in which Joe talks about how many planes it took to travel from Los Angeles to Botswana.

But the long journey was worth it, the middle Jo Bro says. "I thought I had seen so much in my life already but it was like starting over when I got here. Everyone and everything is so beautiful and full of life." Cambio posted dispatches from his trip throughout the month of June. He visited every middle school in Maun, the fifth largest town in Botswana, and spoke to over 5,000 children about giving life your all. He also performed some of his songs.

The point of the trip may have been to do humanitarian work for others, but Jonas also received a surprise of his own. While he was playing soccer with children at Coaching for Conservation, Prince William requested to play a set with the singer. Jonas had this to say about playing sports with the future King of England: "Being able to collaborate with Prince William to bring awareness to the kids of Botswana was a very special experience. It was a great way to show the children they have the world in front of them and can be whatever they want to if they put their mind to it."

"من تونستم بعضی کارهای بشر دوستانه انجام بدم . این کار باعث میشه شما احساس خوبی بکنید و باعث میشه درکی از زندگی داشته باشید و از چیزی که دارید ... من فکر میکنم زندگی متفاوتی برای بچه های امریکا وجود داره . اونا خیلی دارن،اونا تلوزیون دارند و لباس های خوب دارند . اینجا اونا زیاد ندارند در نتیجه اونا قدر چیزی رو که دارن میدونند . و این باعث شد من زیاد در مورد اینکه چقدر تو زندگیم خوشبختم فکر کنم . من مردم زیادی رو تشویق خواهم کرد که خودشون برند و کار انجام بدن . این اهمیت خیریه است اما همچنین اینکه شما اون کارو با دست های خودتون انجام بدید هم مهمه .

"من فکر می کردم تا حالا تو زندگیم خیلی چیزها دیدم اما انگار وقتی رسیدم اینجا (افریقا) تازه شروعش بود . همه چیز و همه کس خیلی زیبا هستند و پر از زندگی اند . "

"دیدن پرنس ویلیام و توجهش رو به بچه های بوتسوانا جلب کردن یک تجربه خاص بود . این راه عالی ای بود که به بچه ها نشون داد که اونا دنیا رو دربرابر خودشون دارند و می تونند هر کاره ای بشند فقط اگه ذهنشونو روش بذارند."

 

اینم نامه ی فوق العاده ی جو که نشون میده چقدر بزرگتر از سنشه . من عاشقه حرف هاشم . عاشق نوشته هاش . اون حتی از منم بهتر مینوسه! مثلا من نویسنده ام اون خواننده و بازیگر !
